The Sanctuary
This wetland environment provides an insight into the natural world. Get a ‘duck’s eye view’ of the wetlands in the below water level weir, search for platypus along the boardwalk, scramble over the granite outcrops, see research in action at the Vet centre and get up close and personal with our reptiles. Programs can be designed to achieve particular learning outcomes.
Endangered species (Sanctuary) – Northern Corroboree Frog and Southern Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby
Simulation and empathy games help students appreciate the threats to our endangered species and give them insights into the protection of the Northern Corroboree Frog and the Southern Brush-tailed Rock Wallaby.
